Give me Gas
Saturday, May 31, 2008 @ 6:22 PM

Give me GASSSSSSS, please. I don't know when I can still afford paying for gas for my car. Paying apartment rent, paying school fees for my little ones, food and more bills are coming every month and because I'm working and I need transportation going there, I use my car to go wherever I need to. Oh my GOD, price is hiking EVERYDAY, I mean it...EVERYDAY. Yesterday, gas station near from our place is $4.10 per gallon (unleaded)..then i came back this day and its $4.13.....gosh...when this stop. All around the world is affected to this hike. Philippines the most, poor country. Poor people there can't even afford to buy rice for daily food intake. And now price hike is a burden. It affects food cause food travels from provinces to urban places where most people buy at the market (palengke).

No more price hike big companies oil....please.....If this continue....I don't know if i still gonna use my car, maybe I will ride bus instead.

Blogger Templates
Friday, May 30, 2008 @ 4:02 AM

I've been changing my templates because I'm not satisfied with the templates before. I can customize a little but not that much. I really like those Wordpress templates. You have many to choose from and easy to customize. On blogger its kinda complicated to change things and some of the templates that is free not on my standard of taste. I have this template from a good source and its not really that pink. I'm also thinking , how I wish Im a web designer that knows a lot of codes here and there when comes to computers. I have friends that good in making some layouts and I'm really like there designs. I know how to use HTML and I even have my customize layout from my myspace account.

I miss putting things together but I got so busy this days that I can even put post daily because of the everyday chores and my work. Lucky me, I can bring my laptop to my work and do some of my posting.Well, I wish I can find a satisfying blogger template to my blogs that I don't to chage it often.

Being a Young Mommy
Thursday, May 29, 2008 @ 11:07 PM

"Good morning mama, good morning," shouts my 5 and 3 yrs old dauhters early morning. "Breakfast time", "I want cereal with milk,"said my 2 little princesses.

Eyes still stapled shut, I becomes with a sudden rainfall of kisses as my kids playfully tries to open my eyelids as eagerly and zestfully as my kids try and open a box cereal. My life (25 years old) brings a tale of circumstances: young, lovely mother who now learns the essence of life through the lens of my children.

My first pregnancy is when i was 19. I just found out I'm pregnant when I notice than I'm one month delayed with my menstrual period. I told my boyfriend (now my husband) that I'm a month pregnant and we got very nervous because this is our first time having this kind of experience. We don't know what we gonna say with our parents. Filipino culture is very different with Western culture, when it comes to relationship, filipino parents are strict. So we decided to tell them after 2 month. The day finally come and told my parents first (cause im the girl) that im pregnant. They are shock because all they want to happen for my future is to have a nice job first and be stable before having a family but there dream for me has shattered. But I am suprise when they talk to us in a very clam way. They want us to get married soon but we told them not because Im pregnant, we will get married. My parents said whatever we want, they gonna respect it. I'm very happy that my parents accept the fact that one day this will happen to there little girl before but not this early. And now, having family of my own.

Now, i have my two daugthers with me and very happy with my everyday life being with them. Even though sometimes they are becoming super hyper and its ending to being super annoying. All I do is do the "Breath in, Breath out" technique then talk to them in a calm way, so they understand what is wrong and what is right. I have a very polite kids and thats a good thing. They understand me that they must help me by being behave but in the same time they can be a kid without me not having a stress time with them.

I know every mommy and daddy love there children. This is our forever treasure that

Tagalog or English
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 @ 9:39 PM

As being born and raise in the Philippines, I know everyword what is Tagalog. I took 6 years of elementary school, 4 years of high school and 2 years of college (but under grad) in Philippines. Also my husband is a truly blooded pinoy but, my 2 daughters are born here and the time they are starting to speak some english words are coming out of their mouth. They watch english cartoons, they have english books, even though I talk to them in tagalog, they can only say some words. Like salamat po, Ate and Kuya, ayaw, opo, matakaw and some other words easy to say. Now my 1st daughter (turning 5 at June 21) is now talking in english because she go to school and talk to her classmates and teachers in english. Even though she can still understand me when I talk in tagalog but she talk back in english. Now I'm thinking, that someday when they grow up, they can still understand me when I talk to them in my language.

As of now, my other little girl (3 yrs. old) is now learning by her big sister with english words. She can now say very clear english. But still I tolerate them to understand me in the way what language I grew up with. They still gonna learn what culture I have and what blood they came from.

Are Debt Problems Causing Marriage Stress?
Tuesday, May 27, 2008 @ 7:38 PM

According to statistics, debt problems are one of the leading causes of divorce in this country (USA and some) When couples have more debt than they can handle stress and tension easily build up like a pressure cooker. Husbands and wives often blame each other for their current situation and hurtful words are exchanged in the process. This leads into a lot of bitterness and emotional distress. Both husband and wife feel like a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode. Every conversation about money turns into a big argument. Does this sound familiar?

There is a lot of marriages destroyed by debt problems. If the situation is not resolved with a bankruptcy filing in order to obtain debt relief, divorce is the next inevitable step. In California (like in every community property state), the debts of one spouse are also debts of one spouse if acquired during marriage. Hence, both spouses are often jointly liable to creditors. Some people just can't accept this fact when I tell them this. They feel that their spouse caused all the problems and that they should not suffer the adverse consequences. Unfortunately, that is not how things work. There are exceptions to this "joint liability" rule and in certain cases (including credit cards debts where only one spouse is on the account), spouse are able to acquire debts solely in their name and the creditor doesn't look to the other spouse for payments. If you are unsure about your situation, you should consult with a bankruptcy attorney to find out what your legal rights are.

When debt problems threaten marriage, seeing how a lot of people are often more woried about saving their credit rather than saving relationships amazes me. When couple fight over money, it is always easy to blame the other person. Married people, who are in this situation where debts incurred have benefited both spouses, that two persons are needed to solve one problem. Instead of bickering endlessly, focusing their time and energy on finding a solution that can be mutually beneficial is probably better. Wouldn't you agree that this is the best approach in solving your joint debt problems nd saving your marriage?

Of course, no one ever wans to talk about bankruptcy but, believe me, that theres a thousands of situations like this are still happening, bankruptcy relief may be just what some need to solve debt problems and fix marriage before it isbeyond repair. This is a bitter pill to swallow for most people. But if you have exhausted all options and have no other way out, why not find out what relief is available under the law and get the help right away. Obtaining immediate relief from debt may give you just the opportunity you need to work on your marriage and resolve your differences with your partner before things get really ugly. If you are in the situation at the moment, the soomer you take action, the sooner you will know what to do to restore peace in your home. This is what you want, isnt it?

Remembering When Filipinos and Americans Were Comrades-in-Arms
Monday, May 26, 2008 @ 12:42 AM

The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, located in what is now called Global City (formerly Ft. William McKinley) is the largest cemetery built and administered by the American Battle Monuments Commission. In this sprawling 152 acre site are buried 16,636 Americans and and 570 Filipinos. In addition, the names of 32,520 Americans and 3,762 Filipinos whose remains were never recovered or identified are inscribed on the Walls of the Missing.

The cemetery which is impeccably maintained, is a indeed a fitting tribute to those who gave their lives so that we can live in freedom and democracy. Sadly, to many young Filipinos, what happened during World War II is nothing but "ancient history." There is a failure to truly appreciate the hardship and the sacrifice of those brave men and women who stood up to the invading Japanese. Filipinos and Americans together as comrades fought the Japanese at every turn. And unlike other countries that quickly fell to the invading Japanese forces, the Philippines valiantly resisted and in the process delayed the Japanese advance into Southeast Asia. This delay gave the Allies time to get their bearings and mount a serious counter-offensive that eventually culminated in the defeat of Japan in 1945.

Americans soldiers of the time acknowledged the bravery and fighting prowess of the Filipino soldiers and guerillas. And Filipinos in turn were grateful to the American GIs who courageously fought and died to rid the Japanese invaders from the Philippines. This Memorial Day, let us remember the men and women (Filipino and American) who paid the ultimate price so that you and I can live in peace and freedom today. Happy Memorial Day!

Heartbroken man climbs into morgue freezer
Sunday, May 25, 2008 @ 2:21 AM

TAIPEI (Reuters)- A Taiwan man grieving over the death of his girlfriend climbed inside a morgue freezer to be with her and was only pulled out alive half an hour later, media and an official said on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old man was discovered on Monday when workers detected an unusually high temperature in the freezer and realized the hatch was not securely fastened.

"A morgue manager opened the hatch, saw two people lying inside, felt scared enough to yell out and then even cried," the Liberty Times reported. "She didn't stabilize for a long time."

The man took a drug before entering the freezer to speed what appeared to be suicide attempt, local papers said. They said his girlfriend died on Friday from an overdose of sleeping pills.

The morgue would step up security to ensure that family and others who come by to identify bodies do not stay too long, morgue administrator Chang Lung-ching said.

Karaoke Online
Friday, May 23, 2008 @ 12:26 AM

Most Filipino looovveee to sing by their Karaoke at home. Even on Karaoke bars, Filipino can't stop to think about singing when they touch the microphone. Mostly asian likes it. I don't know where it started from and who invented it but its really a click to those wanna be singers and good voice singers. My dad has a 2 sets of karaoke, he bought one here and one he bought from Philippines. This is the one that no cd's needed just the microphone itself. There's a chip inside of it and all you have to do is plug the cable wires at the back of the tv or if you have stereo set, you can plug there too. After doing this, look at the song book that is included when you buy the chip (for the songs). and there all the numbers you can choose from to begin your singing.

But the generation is keep moving and its keep changing. Now, internet is really booming because of all the convenient we need. Karaoke now is online. There's some karaoke site I know like KSolo.com, KaraokePlay.com, TheSimsOnStage, ThisisKaraoke.com and a lot more to found. Some of the site you can record of your on voice while singing the song. Now I can practice and here it because i don't need to buy a karaoke to plug on our tv.

Pray for China
Thursday, May 22, 2008 @ 11:06 PM

After an earthquake hit China and many people died. Still, many commenting that its a "karma". Many hates China in many ways. by the products they do, by religion , about freeing Tibetans, etc. Do they really deserve it to have an tragedy like that? As my opinion, NO...Why? because we are all the same...in short, we are all "sinners"...It just happen that China has many issues than any other country. Do you think the Tsunami that happen in Thailand and some near countries is karma too? I don't know but I think God is now shaking us because of all the materialistic things we are doing. We are forgetting about him. Everything that around us is made by him. I mean, the main thing is, us, humans...create only by God. He gave us life to serve him. We have all different religion but sorry to some...I stick with GOD. God who I know thats makes me feel stronger to life (including my family). My heart is so toudhed for all those people who lost their families life.

Now...All we have to do is just pray for those lives, not tell anything about what they did. Be humble. Think about the innocent children there. Even us, we don't want any earthquake to happen in our life, right?

Tea vs Coffee
Wednesday, May 21, 2008 @ 9:40 PM

I love the smell of the coffee from candles or anything scented and also the one were drinking but there is one reason i can't take too much coffee, it make me feel dizzy. I don't know why but in only an 8oz. of drinking coffee makes me start more like everything is spinning. I tried going at Starbucks when I came here in U.S. and ordered their coffee. I'm very excited to order one cause lots of people here like Starbucks coffee. So I ordered the small cup of coffee and I put some half and half and sugar. And taste like really different way back of my country. Mostly here, they use coffee maker to have some coffee but Filipinos mostly know Instant Coffee. The one you don't need any coffee maker just add water and if you want, sugar and half and half. And after sipping and tasting Starbucks coffee....whoaw!!!... It is strong.... I taste mostly coffee in it, even though I already put some sugar and half&half, taste like nothings there but the coffee. And after one to another sipped, finally, buttoms up. Its an experience having roasted coffee made by coffee maker. And after all the sipping event, the place is started to spin . And after that I told to myself never to have those coffee again.
VS

After that traumatic experiencec. I notice my mom making some tea for herself. I asked her what is it taste like. She said its ok and good for digestion. Well, I wanna try one. I bought this Lemon Tea from the store and when I got home, I boiled some water then pour it in my favorite mug. Then, put this little bag with some kinds of leaves inside it with a white string so I can remove it after 1-2 mins. I put half tsp. of sugar and start to sipped......wow!!...This is nice.. taste good. And the feeling its like lifting me up. Thats the day I start drinking tea rather than the spinning feeling of the coffee.

TEA IS THE WINNER FOR ME!!!

I don't want to sound like one of those people on the proactiv commercials but you do feel refreshed after using it and your acne starts clearing up after a week or so of use. I've used tons of creams in the past and proactivs the only one that really worked.

Sweating during Heatwave
Saturday, May 17, 2008 @ 8:33 PM

Ohhh gosshh...theres an heatwave here in California since last week (Wednesday). My whole body is starting to perspire and its a good thing. Even Im not in the gym or not really working out some of extra fat is burning because I'm sweating.

Everybody bought their electric fan and air conditioner to make inside the house cool. Some went to swimming in beaches and pools. I went to one of my friends cause they have a swimming pool and do some swimming over there. Its a nice feeling on this hot sunny day. I enjoy staying in the pool fro about 30 minutes then after 15 minutes of drinking , I went back to the pool.

Its also nice having summer day once in a while but I think too much heatwave is not good cause it means global warming is rising up. Many water reservoir are now almost in half because of hot weather.Hope that after this summer days, mother nature can still give us rain to fill those up.

Moving Again
Friday, May 16, 2008 @ 10:07 AM

Before, when I'm living in the Philippines, I never experience moving to another place, I only stay on our house there from the day I was born till I got here but now that I'm here in United States, I experience moving from another place to another. I think this is the 3rd time were moving again! We are moving tomorrow. GGGrrrr.. I hate putting all the stuff in boxes and after moving to another one arranging it again. Organizing is my stuff, I like organizing everything that I see in the way in my house. And then again, I have to make a list on what I gonna do and where to put everything in the right place. Actually, there's nothing much we gonna bring to new place (thank God). No sofa or big cabinets, only our bed and childrens bed that I can detach and put it in one box. We have laptops and flat screen so its easy to carry. I gonna say bye-bye again on this house were I live for about 3 years. I got used to this place coz it has a big side yard that we can almost do anything we want there. Theres swing hanging on the big branch of the tree for my little ones to play and the slide. I have to sell the place coz its really hard to pay the mortgage and also we have to pay some of our expenses we need to pay. I will try to live to the apartment again and when i get my stable job, then I will buy a better one than this.

I will miss this house. I will keep all the pictures where I took pictures of myself with it. I wonder whose people gonna be here. I gonna miss gardening. I gonna miss watering the lawn. I gonna miss having a big yard I gonna miss everythings here. Bye-bye house....muahzzz. Thanks for the comfort you made . **sob

Charice Pempengco or Bianca Ryan
Wednesday, May 14, 2008 @ 12:00 AM

Charice Pempengco is hitting it big. Almost all of famous talk shows like her to e guest to show her talent. They can't believe, just with the small body theres a very mature voice like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Beyonce. But I notice there also a young lady as Charice. Her name is Bianca Ryan is an American singer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who won the debut season of NBC's America's Got Talent at age eleven. And I try to compare them who have a nicer voice. As Filipina, of course, I support my kababayan (fellow) Filipino. If ever I'm not a Filipino I still like Charice. She still got my ear to listen to her. My husband can't stop watching her YouTube video again and again cause of charming voice. Her stardom is now starting and I wishing all the best o Bianca Ryan, she's good too. Good luck too on this two very talented girls.

checking accounts
@ 2:59 AM

bother to have regular Checking Accounts instead of a money market? The rate of return is so small that it typically isn't worth the fees associated with having it. Bank of America, for example, has a rate of return of 0.2% annually. Not worth it, when you can have a regular checking account and park your money in a savings account that pays 5.25%, don't you think?

Tips on setting a table
Thursday, May 8, 2008 @ 2:03 PM

1. WHETHER you are setting a table for everyday meal at home or for a special occasion, visualize a clear theme, with a feel, mood and color scheme, so that all the elements are tastefully put together.

2. Be creative when integrating your centerpiece and setting. Be resourceful and think out of the box. Use interesting stuff from your personal collection or unique foliage or blooms from your garden that hold up well. What is tasteful and effective need to be expensive or contrived. Go for an element of surprise and your strong personal touch.

3. Don't be afraid to mix patterns and styles to create more interesting and memorable settings.

4. Remember to consider the elements of the room where you are setting the table so that it blends well with its environment.

5. Make sure centerpiece is low enough to allow for easy and relaxed conversation.

6. Remember that your guests and what you serve are the stars of the evening. Your setting is just the enhancement, and your guests' enjoyment and comfort are the priority. The quality of the food and drink should also be the highlight, while the setting is the stage you set to make them shine.

7. Remember that ample elbow room requires about 15 inches of space between place settings. If dishes are to be served in platters using "Russian service with the dishes are to be served to your guests on platters at the table, add even more space between guests, especially if your chairs are bulky.

8. Use the existing rule of thumb when laying out your tableware, but don't be afraid to break rules when practicality and function are considered. More modern aesthetic styles also allow for new and nontraditional ways f arranging tableware. Ultimately, be correct but also be hold enough to be different.

9. Enjoy your setting and relax as your guests enjoy it too!

Trickster Online Game
Sunday, May 4, 2008 @ 11:39 PM

Even I'm 25 years-old and busy taking care of my family and busy blogging too, I still a small time playing my online game. My recent game is Trickster Online. My brother introduce me this game cause we both like...i mean love role playing games (RPG). Back in the Philippines, we both play our playstation and play any rpg thats interesting. The one we really like the most is the Final Fantasy, my brother played all of the parts of FF, from the very first FF game to FFXII. We both waiting for the coming one, Final Fantasy XIII. But in FFXIII, you have to buy the Playstation 3 console and I think I must have one after the FFXIII come out. Theres no official date for FFXIII coming out but as soon it will be on stores I'll buy one, no matter what.

Well, back to Trickster. I'm playing Trickster for 4 months but my brother is playing it since it came out here in United States. Its like ragnarok online (known online game). Me and my brother shares knowledge when comes to playing this but most of the time I depend on him on this game cause he more know it than me (His really a RPG fanatic).

My character on the game is this boxergirl. Remember, I;m Billyboxergirl :)

Cute Pink Phone Bag
Saturday, May 3, 2008 @ 8:52 PM

We went to Daiso Japan (Japanese Store) and find what interesting thing we can buy. I'm looking for anything pink there. You know japanese stuff, they have this cute things all in this store. I look around and a lot of things i want to buy but of course not to much cause I have to budget the money we have. I mean, we have credit cards but I don't want to over-use it if the thing we gonna buy is not that important.

So I look around and grab a little pouch for my make-up stuff...blah..blah... I look around again and I saw cellphone accessories that is color pink (most of the items are $1.50 each). My husband bought a massager cause he really hates the way I massage (I told him a lot of times that I hate massaging, its really tiring). My 2 daugther got some coloring books and its cute, one each for them. And there's one thing I saw that makes me wanna buy it. Its cellphone bag that i really wanted and imagining if i wanna have one. Its pink and have long lace to put around your neck and a little bag on the end. Its really cute and its worth $4.00 so I buy and after that we go straight to the cashier. We spend $11+ plus tax.
I will not get tired to go that japanese store again. I can find cute things in it.
